Platform Engineering
About the role
The Network Engineering team at the University of Auckland is responsible for building and maintaining the university's wired and wireless networks. Our work encompasses both operational support and project-based initiatives, carefully prioritised to meet the dynamic needs of our customers. This creates a stimulating environment where balancing business demands can be challenging.
As a team, we value collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. While infrastructure and day-to-day tasks don't always align perfectly with an Agile framework, we adopt Agile principles and tools to effectively manage our workload.
What will the intern be doing?
Interns will work on network-related tasks, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of how networks are designed and operated in an enterprise-scale environment. They will gain insights into both the physical and logical layers of the OSI model, focusing on layers 1 to 3. This foundational knowledge will also enhance their understanding of higher OSI layers.
