We are seeking an experienced Associate Finance Business Partner to join our tight-knit team of 9, known for our collaborative spirit and genuine support for one another. You’ll work closely with the faculties/LSRI/service divisions to provide high-quality management accounting support and strategic financial insight. You’ll be instrumental in delivering high-quality financial analysis and business planning support that informs both strategic and operational decision-making. Leveraging your deep understanding of business units and financial drivers, you’ll provide insights that contribute to the development of robust financial plans, enable informed decisions, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Your ability to build strong relationships, navigate complex financial environments, and align financial activity with broader organisational strategy will be key to success.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) role. The salary range for the role is $83,300 – $102,900 based on skills and experience. For more detailed information, please refer to the position description
You’ll bring a strong foundation in financial and management accounting, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering value through data-driven insights. You’re confident working both independently and collaboratively, and thrive in a dynamic, complex environment.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a Bachelor’s Degree or relevant tertiary qualification and preferably holds membership with a professional accounting body (CAANZ, CPA or equivalent).
- Has Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Is highly proficient in Excel and financial modelling, with knowledge of systems such as PeopleSoft, SAP or Oracle being advantageous.
- Communicates clearly and effectively, tailoring insights to support strategic and operational decision making, building strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Is committed to continuous improvement and can identify opportunities to enhance financial outcomes and service delivery
- Has experience capital planning and benefits realisation, with a strong grasp of financial governance principles
- Demonstrates initiative, takes ownership of their work, and is confident proactively stepping into hands-on tasks to drive outcomes
